Italian Chowin

1 lb extra-lean ground beef (power food)
1/2 cup crushed saltine crackers (i used italian style bread crumbs & a bit of oatmeal)
1 lg onion, dices
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed or whey powder (power food)
1 jar (16 oz) tomato sauce
4 whole wheat hoagie rolls (power food)
1/2 cup reduced fat mozzarella cheese, shredded (power food)

1. Mix the beef, crackers, onion, garlic, and flaxseed or whey powder into golf ball-size meatballs.

2. In a nonstick skillet over medium hear, cook the meatballs until browned all the way around. Drain the fat from the skillet and add the tomato sauce.

3. While the mixture is warmin, use a fork to scoop our some of the bread in the rolls to form shallow trenches. Spoon the meatballs and the sauce into each trench, sprinkle with the cheese, and top with top half of the roll.
