The Ordeal...Tuesday part III

to start from the beginning...click here for post #1

Had an okay sleep in the BF House but really, how well can you sleep in a single bed?  I'm kinda a travelling sleeper and when you want to roll but only have 1 inch in either side of you (me knows I exaggerate, go with it okay), makes it a little hard to sleep easy.

I have not been diagnosed with sleep apnea, but I have not had a good continuous night sleep in I don't know how long, so it's possible that I stop breathing at night.  More on that later.

Up bright and early, sorta.  I got no kids, I can't eat anything, my bowels are TOTALLY EMPTY! what's the point of getting outta bed?  Nice lazy morning.   Late morning we head over to the piggly wiggly to get some post op food product (sugar free jello, protein water, yogurt, fat free cottage cheese).  As I look in my buggy (a little shout out to my Florida buddies ;P) I think "If I could only eat these foods the rest of my life, I'm in HEAVEN!"  Little did I know...

11:30am into pre surgery prep.  I haven't been in a big hospital before and so this stuff is all kinda funky.  I've had plenty of hospital time, been trained ( a little ) in animal hospital stuff and I'm used to one nurse, plenty of one-on-one, doing it all in one place.  They've got a pretty cool system.  It sure drags out the patients time, but HONESTLY, do the docs really care about patient time schedules?  Me thinks ... no.

Blood is drawn.  That took forever.  We are escorted into the vampire's lair and we must have sat there for 20 minutes waiting.  Takes forever to suck every spare ounce of blood I have left (they must want to use me as a donor since I'm such a healthy fat person and all .... what?!?)  then we're again free.  For about an hour.  What the crap does a hungry, fat, blood sucked, clean boweled person do for an hour in the hospital?   Hmmm, can't remember.  Good place to stop eh?

Nichole, I'm a little lost.

I seem to have missed a bit of information somehow.

Have you mentioned what this surgery is for? I can't find this little detail in all the posts I'm searching. I admit, I don't check the blog every day, sorry but I have these little people demanding my attention all the time. Anyway, I'll keep looking for it. Or maybe you'd be so kind as to mention it again, for my sake. :)

Thanks! I do hope the recovery is going well and that you're enjoying your jello.

Love ya, Jes
