What Do I Eat?
Besides not revealing what type of sugery I had, I realized I also have not been keeping track of what I eat.
So....
Day after surgery is my first hospital meal. I get a sugar free popsicle, sugar free jello, and chicken broth. That would be my food for the next 2 days. That's it and I'm full. Oh yeah baby! I can handle this.
As I was shopping for food pre-op, buying allowed foods such as sugar free jello, sugar free pudding, yogurt, I thought to myself, "If I can survive eating only these, I'm in HEAVEN!" It's like snacks snacks and more snacks! When is the last time I thought, pudding is my best option for dinner tonight? HA!
I also need to get as much protein as possible so three protein shakes per day. The doc gave me a container of chocolate protein powder and I didn't think I'd be able to handle it. It was actually quite good.
Breakfast= 1 scoop of protein powder in 2 oz of yogurt
Snack=5 or 6 bites of sugar free jello
Lunch = 1 scoop of protein powder in 2 oz of yogurt or pureed cottage cheese (couldn't handle the cottage cheese. can you say gag?)
Snack = 2 oz of chicken broth
Dinner = 1 scoop of protein powder in 2 oz of yogurt
No wonder I'm losing weight! The awesome thing is, I'm TOTALLY not hungry.
